Booking settings

What people can book, when, where, and what happens next. Every booking is emailed to you and to the customer and waits under Bookings until it is done.

Each booking type has its own length and price (leave the price empty for free). "Where" decides whether the form asks for the customer's address.

Emails and calendar

Email new bookings to

One or more addresses, separated by commas. Leave empty to use the site's administration email. The first one is where customers' replies go.

Reminders

Email the customer a reminder before each confirmed appointment

Only for confirmed bookings with a set time, never for cancelled ones, never after the start. Sent to the customer's email address only, with the time in your time zone, where or how it happens, your phone number, a calendar update, and links to cancel or ask for a different time without logging in.

When to remind

and again

Days are counted on your calendar in America/Toronto time. A reminder whose time has already passed when you confirm or move an appointment is skipped, because the customer has just been emailed.

Reminder wording

The sentence under "Hello" in the reminder. Leave empty for the one shown.

WordPress's own scheduler (WP-Cron) is switched off on this site, so reminders go out only if your host runs wp-cron.php regularly (every 15 minutes or more often).

Changes by the customer

Customers can cancel or ask to change up to hours before the appointment

With the "Ask for a different time" and "Cancel this appointment" links in their confirmation, new-time and reminder emails. 0 means right up to the start. After that, the links show your phone number instead, and emails sent later leave them out.

Spam protection

No puzzles for your customers: a hidden trap field, a security token, a check that the form was not sent too fast, and the limits below. Connections and email addresses are counted as one-way codes; no IP address is kept.

Add each customer to the CRM (source: Booking)
Create a follow-up task for each booking

The CRM is not active on this site, so these do nothing for now. Each booking gets one entry on the customer's timeline and at most one follow-up, due when your reply time runs out. Both are updated when you confirm, move or cancel the booking (the follow-up is marked done or cancelled), and the CRM's own automatic follow-up is not added for bookings.

Delete bookings after

Counted from the appointment (or from when it arrived, if later). 0 keeps them until you delete them. Customers' bookings can also be exported or erased from Tools → Export / Erase Personal Data.

When the plugin is deleted
